Launch of 211 in the MRC de l’Assomption, QC

Montréal, April 10, 2017

The 211 service is now available in the MRC de L’Assomption, Québec. This implementation is another milestone in the deployment of the 211 service in the Greater Montréal area which is managed by the Information and Referral Centre of Greater Montréal (IRCGM).

In the fall of 2016, the City of Laval implemented 211 while the City of Montréal opted for the deployment of the 211 database. Right now, the 211 in the Greater Montréal area provide phone services to over 550 000 people and access to online resources with its 211qc.ca website to 2,5M people.

The Information and Referral Centre of Greater Montreal celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. It offers bilingual information and referral services by phone, online and by printed directories to citizens and social workers of the Greater Montreal. It manages the Referral Helpline for Seniors and two support, information and referral helplines, Drugs: Help and Referral and Gambling: Help and Referral.
