2024 Symposium

48th annual Symposium for Information and Referral Professionals

September 25 & 26, 2024

A live-streaming, virtual event

2024 theme:

Information & Referral: Connecting Communities Across Canada / Information et reference : Connecter les communautés à travers le Canada

The Information and Referral sector’s annual Symposium has been the premier education, training and networking venue for 48 years. Through its virtual format, more organizations and I&R practitioners throughout Canada can now connect, and provide information, ideas and tools that our attendees can use within their professional practice.

It is also the best opportunity for I&R practitioners/navigators, community resource data editors and managers to network with colleagues, and to learn and share strategies about initiatives, partnerships and projects.

2024 is a year of transition and renewal as Canada’s 2 Information and Referral (I&R) organizations – InformCanada and InformOntario – complete the process of becoming one pan-Canadian charity. This is a game-changer will continue to support best practices for the Information and Referral sector in Canada. Be part of our Town Hall workshop of Thu, Sept 26th to hear more about the future of the sector.

This year’s keynote speaker is Rosita Hall of Hamilton, professional speaker and coach, speaking on “Changes, Challenges, and Choices!” Her presentation kicks off the 2-day Symposium at 11 am Eastern on Sept 25th.

How do we reboot, recharge, and move forward with confidence as we continue to navigate through a tremendous amount of change and challenges? Join Speaker Rosita Hall as she invites you to take the wheels off the slow-moving fuss bus and climb aboard the Change Train.
